1. Introduction

Welcome to The Game of Satoshi (TGOS) — a global, educational Bitcoin challenge combining storytelling, hidden clues, and real BTC rewards.

TGOS rewards learning, attention, precision, and perseverance.
It is not designed for speed alone, nor is it a guessing game or a guarantee of outcomes.

By joining TGOS, you agree to these Rules and commit to fair play.

TGOS is intentionally difficult and mirrors Bitcoin’s core principles:

  • fixed rules
  • no guarantees
  • open participation
  • unequal outcomes based on effort and alignment

2. Eligibility

Anyone worldwide may participate.

BTC rewards are paid only to players 18 years or older.

If a winner is under 18, BTC may be paid to a verified parent or legal guardian.

TGOS may require KYC or additional verification for larger payouts or where required by law.

TGOS reserves the right to restrict participation in specific jurisdictions if legally necessary.

    3. Accounts & Identity

    One person = one account.

    Multiple accounts, shared access, or coordinated testing across accounts is prohibited.

    Using one account to test answers for another is considered cheating.

    Detected violations may result in penalties or loss of prize eligibility.

    Account security is the responsibility of the player.

    4. How to Play

    Each episode includes missions consisting of:

    • clues
    • quizzes
    • narrative elements
    • hidden components that may become relevant later in the game

    Players submit answers through the TGOS platform.

    Early episodes contribute to preparation, not guaranteed progression.

    5. Attempts, Accuracy & Elimination

    TGOS is not a guessing game.

    Each player has a limited number of attempts to submit correct answers.

    • Attempts are fixed and non-renewable unless explicitly stated.
    • Once all attempts are used, the player is eliminated from prize eligibility for Season 1.
    • Eliminated players may still view content but cannot progress further toward rewards.

    Elimination is final for the season unless explicitly reopened by TGOS.

    6. Elimination Phase (Season 1)

    Season 1 includes an Elimination Phase, which represents the final challenge.

    Important clarification:

    • The Elimination Phase does not guarantee that a player will finish within a fixed time window.
    • The game may remain open until one player completes all required phases.
    • If no player completes the Elimination Phase during an initial window, the season does not automatically end.

    Season 1 remains active until:

    • one player completes all phases and wins, or
    • TGOS officially closes Season 1 and begins Season 2

    This outcome is not predetermined.

    7. Scoring (Pre-Elimination Stages)

    Scoring during episodes and missions is based on:

    • time
    • accuracy
    • penalties

    Lower total score ranks higher.

    Scoring determines access to later phases but does not guarantee a prize.

    Once a player reaches the Elimination Phase, scoring no longer determines ranking — only completion does.

    8. Fair Play, Cheating & Penalties

    Cheating includes:

    • multi-accounting
    • automation or scripts
    • real-time answer sharing
    • exploiting bugs or system manipulation

    Penalty System:

    • Detected cheating → 21,000 second penalty
    • Automatic “FAKETOSHI” (Shame on You) badge
    • Accounts with this badge are excluded from prize eligibility

    TGOS reserves the right to enforce penalties to protect the integrity of the game.

    Detection methods are not disclosed.

    9. Badges & Status

    Badges reflect participation and milestones.

    Badge types:

    • Status badges — visual only
    • Referral badges — may reduce total time during non-elimination phases

    Badges do not override elimination or prize eligibility rules.

    10. Rewards & Prize Pool (Season 1)

    Season 1 has one winner only.

    • First player to complete all required phases wins 0.21 BTC
    • There are no secondary prizes for Season 1
    • Any remaining BTC rolls into Season 2

    Prize visibility does not guarantee payout.
    Only full completion qualifies.

    11. KYC, Taxes & Compliance

    • Winners may be required to complete KYC if legally required.
    • Players are responsible for local tax obligations.
    • TGOS will always request the minimum legally required information.

    12. Privacy & Data Use

    TGOS collects minimal necessary data and does not sell user information.

    Data may be shared only with legal or payout partners if required.

    13. Disputes & Appeals

    Appeals must be submitted to info@thegameofsatoshi.com within 14 days of official season closure.

    All decisions by TGOS are final.

    14. Rule Finality & Updates

    • Rules may be clarified to address undefined states.
    • Clarifications do not constitute rule changes.
    • Continued participation indicates acceptance of current rules.

    TGOS is an educational and entertainment project.
    No guarantees of winning are made.
    Participation is at the player’s own risk.
